Our friends at Community Partners and the California Community Foundation will soon be opening applications for new rounds of nonprofit grants both to help alleviate food insecurity and to generally help serve neighborhoods disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic:
- County COVID-19 Community Equity Fund (CCCEF) - The LA County Department of Health Services and the LA County Department of Public Health in partnership with Community Partners will be launching the County COVID-19 Community Equity Fund to serve neighborhoods disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic through resources and prevention. Selected CBOs will receive funding, mentorship, training and technical assistance to support their internal infrastructure, workforce and sustainability as they provide prevention services, activities and social and medical resources to their communities. Applications open 10/16 and are due by 10/30.
- CARES Food Security Grant - The California Community Foundation is administering a competitive grant program on behalf of the County of Los Angeles for nonprofits aiding in alleviating food insecurity in response to COVID-19.
